i. We feel cold after taking bath with hot water because water droplets present on our body starts evaporating. Then they use heat energy present inside our body to evaporate. As heat energy gets evaporated we feel cold.

ii. Rate of evaporation increases as the humidity increases and slower down at low temperature. As air is dry on other days it can hold more water molecules and thus evaporation increases as the temperature is low. So at rainy days Rate of evaporation slowers down as air itself contains water vapours in it.

iii. A sponge is solid but it is compressible because it has tiny pores or holes on it those pores contain air particles between them as we compress the sponge the air particles are expelled out and thus making the sponge highly compressible.

1.ANSWER

we feel cold after taking bath with hot water because our bodies get used to the warmth of the water and once you get out, your body is no longer used to the normal air that you usually would be fine with.

2.ANSWER

The rate of evaporation depends on the temperature weather and humidity . The rate of evaporation is faster in sunny days when temperature is hot and humidity is less. on the rainy day the temperature and weather is not hot hence the rate of evaporation is slow and wet clothes take longer time to dry up.

3.ANSWER

sponge is compressible because it is having minute pores in which air is trapped. on pressing the air is expelled. it is still considered as solid because it has a definite shape and volume and shape does not changes unless compressed.
