HI  BUDDY  HERE  IS  YOUR  ANSWER WITH FULL EXPLANATION.

I  HOPE  YOU  WILL  LIKE  MY  ANSWER.

SO, PLEASE  MARK  ME  AS  BRAINLIEST  IF  YOU  LIKED MY  ANSWER:-)

Answer:

Increase in speed of car so that it could reach the destination by

12 pm=10 km/hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:Timing of start of journey=9 am.

Timing of end of journey for the first case 1=1 pm.

Timing of end of journey for the first case 2=12 pm.

Speed of car 1 in case 1 = 30 km/hr

To find: Increase in speed of car so that it could reach the destination by

12 pm.

Solution:

Let the distance traveled in both cases=x.

CASE 1: Swati starts her journey by car at 9 am and reaches the destination by 1 pm.

Time required to reach the destination in case 1 = 9 am to 1  pm=4 hours.

Therefore, speed of car in case 1=Distance traveled/Time taken.

Speed of car in case 1=(x/4)km/hr

                              30 =x/4                 [GIVEN]

                               30×4=x

                               120 km =x

CASE 2: Swati starts her journey by car at 9 am and reaches the destination by 12 pm covering the same distance as in case 1,

Time taken to reach the destination in case 2= 9 am to 12 pm =3 hours.

Therefore,

Speed of car in case 2=Distance traveled/Time taken

Speed of car in case 2=120/3=40 km/hr.

Increase in speed of car so that it could reach the destination by 12 pm

= Speed of car in case 2-Speed of car in case 1

=40 km/hr-30 km/hr

=10 km/hr

I HAVE WRITTEN THE ANSWER IN LONG FORM BUT IF YOU WANT YOU CAN ALSO WRITE IT IN SHORT:-)

                               THANK  YOU  BUDDY
