It's a picture showing family members enjoying their picnic in the flush of greenery. This picture also depicts cleanliness by the character of the little girl picking up papers and waste from the ground. The elderly ladies are sitting on sheets, having food. It also shows the lessening gap of generation, shown by the boy playing football with a man, and a little kid listening attentively to his grandfather.
It was Saturday, when my family memebers- my parents, my grandparents, my sister and I, decided to go on a picnic the next day. It had been quite a long time since when we hadn't spent a day out together. The plan was finalised with excited and cheerful faces. Next day, we got in our car, and travelled up to the park near a hill. Being a weekend, there was a crowd but the park was big enough to encapsulate three times more the crowd. We chose the place near a big tree, to enjoy the cool weather in its shade.
Both the elders and the we, the children played numerous games, football being the favourite and the most joyous one. After sometime, all of us gathered back to eat our lovable sandwiches, patties and drink juices and water. We rested for sometime, and then got back to our games again. With the sun saying goodbye for the day, the crowd lessened.
Just as we got up to leave, my sister saw the garbage left behind by the people. It destroyed the scenic beauty. She decided to clean it before leaving. All of us helped her, and we finished picking up the garbage and throwing it in the dustbin in an hour. We were tired, but happy and satisfied with our work.
The people should learn to keep their surroundings clean. Cleanliness is the need of the hour. Garbage invites pests and diseases alike. It indirectly harms us only. Therefore, we should be responsible for our actions and duty towards the mother earth.
