PROVE :BC=4AM

Anonymous: angle MAB=angle MAC . So BM = MC .. Hence BC should be 2 MC . How can BC be 4 MC ?
Anonymous: don't know that.. but we need to do construction here. AB should be extended to D and draw CD//AM.

In the triangle ABC,

BX = 1/2 AB ___________________[1]
BY = 1/2 BC ___________________[2]
Since AB = BC
[2] can be written as BY = 1/2 AB
So BY = 1/2 AB = BX
thus BY = BX

proved
