The brook appears to be a symbol for life,  which becomes the central theme of the poem. Various instances that can be seen in the poem which draw parallel between brook and life.

=>The two images that appeal to me the most are-
(i)"I wind about and in and out,

With here a blossom sailing,

And here and there a lusty trout,

And here and there a grayling".

-These lines indicate that the water of the brook moves with twists and turns. Blossoms are found sailing. It water is full of lusty trouts and grayling.

(ii)"I steal by lawns and grassy plots,

I slide by hazel covers

I move the sweet forget-me-nots

That grow for happy lovers".
-These lines indicate that the water of the brook when moves by lawns and grassy plots, hazel covers, forget-me-nots that grow for happy lovers, it does not announce its passing. It moves very silently.

Hope it helped u!
