a) Compost is purely organic in nature. It is formed by decomposition of organic matter such as, plants and animals. There are no synthetic materials or chemicals in compost.

b) Compost is rich in nutrients and therefore ideal to use in gardens, fields, organic farming etc. It works as a soil-conditioner and fertiliser and thereby helps the ecosystem.

c) As compost is formed out of natural organic materials, these materials are in fact getting recycled, instead of just getting set aside as waste matter.
