Answer: a=2

Step-by-step explanation:

if x+a is factor of both polynomial then it completely divide both . Hence x+a=0 so x=-a.

Put this value in both polynomial and equate them

(-a)²+3(-a)+2 = (-a)²+5(-a)+6

a²-3a+2= a²-5a+6

-3a+5a=6-2

2a=4

a=2
