Most parts of India receive monsoon by the sowthest monsoon winds(except the extreme western India).while the eastern coast receives most of its rainfall from north east or retreating monsoon winds

.coastal areas of Tamil nadu ,Andhra Pradesh and Orissa often receives rainfall from the retreating monsoon winds and the cyclonic rainfall caused by the tropical cyclones.
