till the 19th century barter system was prevelant in our country but during the British the cottage industries and household industries back were broken the British government increased the taxes on Indian goods and low tax was there on British products at the time of such after independence India understood that the countries can develop if they utilise their raw material no country can develop without industrial support many new industries were established during that time iron and steel industries at Jamshedpur is one of the best example of it

2) Industrial and cotton jute iron and steel developed at a faster rate. For example with the expansion of Railways the demand for Coal iron and steel increased .
