There is considerable diversity in Netherlands with Catholics and Protestants in more or else equal number.  Class cuts across religions as against many countries like Northern Ireland. The rich and wealthy are both Catholics and Protestants. No particular community has been historically oppressed or belong to lower class as in Northern Ireland. In Northern Ireland, the Catholics have been historically poor and oppressed.

Thus, in Netherlands we have no incidence of religious strife or clashes between different religious groups based on classes  When economic classes cut across different religious and social groups, there are lesser chances of clashes.
