One of the most busy places in a society is a market where all of our products and everyday needs come from. A market, is made up of various things such as hawkers' stalls, kirana stores, supermarkets, malls, among others
Explanation:
The difference in the buyers and sellers of a small shop and a mall is as under:
Sellers:
- The small shop owners that we see on the weekly market vary from those in a large shopping complex. The former is a "small trader", having low investment in setting up the shop. Small shops or neighbourhood shops are convenient for the public, as they are opened every day & different products are available in various shops. Several shops are permanent & some like hawkers & sellers who are temporary. Small shops have many advantages because they are situated near our homes, as well as there is an agreement between the "buyer & the seller" (if need be ) that the buyer can obtain credit for products. Small shop owners may sell only few items and many not trade in multiple items.
- Mall owners are quite rich with a lot of money to start the mall. Mainly malls are situated in urban areas. Malls are multi-story buildings, air-conditioned, with stores on various levels. Most products sold in malls are branded, high-quality and advertised. These markets are particularly attractive to the rich and these brands cater to them. There is also a significant difference in earnings of these two types of owners. Big malls have multiple shops within the malls and trade a myriad of products
Buyers
- Even the cheapest products are not affordable at time for certain buyers/ purchasers of the small shops, whereas purchasers visiting the malls can afford branded goods, as well as other luxury items. Hence there is a huge difference in the income levels of the buyers of both the markets.
