CIVIC ISSUES
ROAD ISSUE - All throughout the year the roads seem to be dug up for one reason or the other. And they are never repaired. At the onset of monsoon, the authorities have thought up a ploy to trouble the residents of this area by digging up a good portion of the road and left it unattended to. The big gaping holes are a danger to every one in the area. Once it starts raining, it will be difficult to complete the work and the holes will pose a great danger to all.
PARK ISSUE - A park in the colony would be a boon as it would serve the twin purpose of a place for the children to play and exercise, as well as be a green haven in the middle of a concrete jungle.
WATER SUPPLY ISSUE - bad condition of water supply in colony. Most of the time the taps remain dry. The supply is made only two hours in the morning and one hour in th evening. Besides the water is muddy and polluted. Many residents fall sick. There are complaints of jaundice and loose motions after drinking this water.
ELECTRICITY ISSUE - There is no schedule for the load shedding that takes place daily in our colony.The electricity supply is cut for hours on end, with no prior notice or information.Without electrical supply, many household works suffer as no electrical gadget can work.The study schedule of students, the sleep schedule of infants, the rest time of the elderly_ all get disturbed due to load shedding.

SUGGESTION -
Municipality must do it's functions properly:
- The construction,maintenance and improvement of streets, bridges,gardens, tanks,wells, channels, drains etc
- The watering and cleaning of streets
- Water-supply
- Acquiring, keeping and equipping of open spaces for public purposes
- Planting and preservation of trees
- Construction of dwelling houses;
- Maintenance and improvement of education;
Improper waste Disposal is one of the important Civic Issues of our society.
Improper waste disposal is like a mouse trap that we build for our own. Creation of waste is an undeniable action by disposing them in an improper manner is insane.
We dispose waste wherever we thing at an instance. We don’t care about the consequences. According to a survey we produce nearly 2 billion tons of municipal wastes every year. It has also been estimated the secretion of waste will raise up to 3.4 billion tons by 2050, if it goes by the same way.
Improper waste disposal is the main cause of water, land and air pollution. It lead to the creation of excess amount of production of greenhouse gases. It is responsible for the increase in global warming. It is responsible for the contamination of our livelihood.
Hence I conclude Improper waste disposal is the important civic issue of our society.
