Differentiation:

Differentiation allows us to find rates of change. For example, it allows us to find the rate of change of velocity with respect to time (which is acceleration). It also allows us to find the rate of change of x with respect to y, which on a graph of y against x is the gradient of the curve.

Use integration in a sentence. noun. Integration is defined as mixing things or people together that were formerly separated. An example of integration is when the schools were desegregated and there were no longer separate public schools for African Americans.

Integration is the inverse process of differentiation. Instead of differentiating a function, we are given the derivative of a function and asked to find its primitive, i.e., the original function. Such a process is called integration or anti differentiation.
