The length between two base pair is 0.34nm

Total length of double helix DNA = total number of base pairs x distance between two bp

Now, total no. Of base pair is unknown, let us assume it to be x

1.3mm=x×0.34x10^9

X=4x10^9

Explanation:

Hi.....

Total length of double helix DNA of an organism can be calculated by multiplying the

total number of base pairs with the distance between the two consecutive bp.Let the total number of bp be

x1.36= x * 0.34 * 10^-9=>

x= 4 * 10^6 bp

So, the number of base pairs in the given strand of E.coli is 4 * 10^6...
