hii friends
a field is in the form of a circle. a fence is to be erected around the field. the cost of fencing would be rupees 2640 at the rate of rupees 12 per meter. then the field is thoroughly ploughed at the cost of 0.50 per m^2. what is the amount required to plough the field?

Answer:

Rs.1925

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all let me tell you,

Fencing will be done on the boundary.

this means that

total cost of fencing ÷ cost of fencing per metre = circumference of the field

2640÷12=220=2πR

R=35m

Now the field will be ploughed throughout the area

so lets first calculate the are of circle

πR²=(22÷7)×35×35=3850m²

cost of plowing field= 0.50× 3850=Rs.1925

Answer:

1925

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total cost = 2640.

Rate per metre = 12.

Length of circular fence = Total cost/Rate per metre

                                        = 2640/12

                                        = 220 m.

Now,

Perimeter = 2πr

220 = 2 * 22/7 * r

220 * 7 = 44 * r

r = 35 m.

∴ Area of field = πr²

                        = 22/7 * (35)²

                        = 3850 m².

Cost of ploughing per m² = 0.50

Total cost = 3850 * 0.50

                = 1925.

Hope it helps!
