Total curved surface area

➡ 25 × 22/7 × 0.28 × 4 × 2

➡ 88 × 2

⇒ 176

Since Rs 8 is for 1 m² , then :

Cost = Rs 8 × 176 m²

Height of cylindrical pillars

= 4m

Number of cylindrical pillars

= 25

Now Remember

Curved Surface area of cylinder(C. S. A)

=

2pie r×h


Total Surface area of cylinder(T. S. A)

=

2pie r×h + 2pie r^2

=2pie r(h+r)


Now, according to the question

Area of the 25 pillars

=
25 (2pie r×h)


=> 25×(2×22×0.28×4)7

=>1232/7

=>176m^2

Now,

cost of painting the 1m^2 area pillars

= Rs8

So, cost of painting the 176m^2 area pillars=>

176×8

=>Rs 1408

Hence cost of pain the pillars are Rs1408.
