We heard about a beautiful valley hidden high in a mountain in Nepal. I decided to find that place was once again for our annual trek onto remote Nepal. It was an exciting opportunity to re energize our souls and fixed the secluded from the urban distractions of Kathmandu of Nepal.
We reached our destination by 4 PM and took rest in a resort which had beautiful rooms with neat and clean furniture.It is a small hotel, it is called “ chautari” near the bus park. It was decent enough. This place was found warmer than Kathmandu. In the evening we trekked a steep walk up the stairs for an hour to reach the tiny palace of Gorkha of Nepal.
As I climbed the last stairs, I was overwhelmed with the stench of blood all on the stairs and learned about the ceremony of the sacrifice of animals to the goddess Kali’s statue in Ashtami puja. I bet many of you have never known or heard about this place which is located just behind the Ganesh mountain range that you observe every day from Kathmandu valley.
