.Sprinkling of water on the roof or open ground: During summer, when we sprinkle the water on an open surface like open roof, ground and road, the water gets evaporated by absorbing heat from the su rface, resulting in cooling of these surfaces.
.Perspiration keeps our body cool: During summer or heavy exercise, our body gets hot due to rise in body temperature. 50, to cool off, our body perspires more and this sweat gets evaporated by taking heat from the body.
.A desert cooler cools better in a hot dry day: When the hot air passes through the wet pads of a cooler, the heat is taken by the wet pads for evaporation resulting in cool air.
.Perfumes and talc cause cooling sensations on our skin: Generally, the perfumes contain alcohol (spirit) and talc contains mint crystals. When these substances get evaporated, they take heat from our skin and we feel cool even in hot season.
.Pouring acetone or spirit on our palm and nails causes cooling:
The acetone is present in nail polish in the form of solvent.this nail polish is applied, the acetone gets evaporated causing a cooling sensation on the nails. Similarly, the palm becomes cold due to evaporation of spirit or acetone.
.The water becomes cold in earthen pots during summer season: We know that there are a lot of tiny pores on the surface of earthen pots. The water slowly gets evaporated taking heat from the remaining water. Therefore, the water in the ea rthen pots become cool.
