Hii Good Morning!!

1) What happens to melting point of ice when pressure is increased?

2) What happens to the melting point of solids when pressure is decreased?

Plz answer....

samdiazloganpakhc1: 1. the melting process will progress exponentially due to increased pressure.
samdiazloganpakhc1: Same thinv happens as the pressure was decreased so melting process will get slow a bit.but not stop completely

(1) Increased pressure lower the melting point of ice.
(2) Decreased pressure higher the melting point of solids.

samdiazloganpakhc1: but this answer didn't contained any explanation why yhis happens
Sanskriti141: I only wanted what happens
samdiazloganpakhc1: please never take incomplete info specially in science
NarwalVarsha: Okay
samdiazloganpakhc1: havent u passed 12th
Sanskriti141: no
NarwalVarsha: In which class u r
Sanskriti141: 9th
NarwalVarsha: Okay
Sanskriti141: and u

1)In this case, if you increase thepressure on the ice the ice-water system wants to try to lower it again. It can do that by making itself fit into a smaller volume. But since water fills a smaller volume when it's liquid, rather than solid, it will go to a lower melting point -- allowing more solid to become liquid.

NarwalVarsha: Have u copied from Google
NarwalVarsha: You haven't given the answer of part 2
samdiazloganpakhc1: be intelligent to understan this
Sanskriti141: ok
Sanskriti141: Thanks
DARSHANSAIRAJ: happy world's yoga day
samdiazloganpakhc1: then which asan u ar doing today
Sanskriti141: Happy World Yoga Day dear
