Explanation:

The rain is bought by the south western monsoon wind in India which first reaches the southwestern coast i.e. Kerala by the first week of June.

Then the wind divides into 2 branches-

1) Arabian Sea branch

2) Bay of Bengal branch

The bay of Bengal branch of wind reaches Delhi by first week of July.. so it arrives Delhi much later than Kerala.

Hope it helps..

Thank You!!

Due to the monsoon laden winds strikes the coasts of kerala first.

Explanation:

  • A the time of monsoon when high pressure is generated over the interior landmass of the Indian subcontinent the hot winds generated attract monsoon laden winds that come from the western coasts of Africa and are divided into the Bay of Bengal and Arabian sea branch.
  • This created the winds that strike the coastlands of Kerala and Delhi is located in the northern part and has summer rains in the end of July.
  • While Trivandrum in southern India has monsoon in early May months. Due to the onset of the monsoon is impacted by the reversal in the direction of winds.
  • The land is still cooler in northern India than it's in southern India and thus after crossing the southernmost parts the monsoon winds moves towards the western parts of the country as Rajasthan and Gujrat and by the time it reaches the Delhi its late July.
