Factual description of a process or an event requires a step by step account of an activity, experiment, procedure. The ideas should be systematically presented with important points coming first followed by not-so-important points. Heading is an essential part of it and should be short and crisp.

Such a writing task is essentially sequential and directional – proceeding from one point to the other in a fixed direction. Although the focus is on factual accuracy, stylistic creativity and innovation make the description more interesting for the reader.
