Since there are same no. Of atoms of each element in the reactants side and the products side, the law of conservation of mass which states that mass can neither be created nor destroyed is satisfied by that reaction

NH3 + HCl --- NH4Cl
Since the masses if the elements are given
so,
For LHS
14 + 3×1 + (1 + 35.5)
17 +36.5
53.5 g equation 1
FOR RHS
14 + (1)×4 +35.5
18 + 35.5
53.5 g. equation 2
Since eq1 = eq2
so, LHS =RHS
So the mass remain conserved
this proves the law of conservation of mass..
