2nd answer is amir khusurau said that there were many languages in india every region had its own languages but sanskrit did not belong to any region it was an ancient languages it was the language of the learned common people did not know it he praised sanskrit and said that it was a pearl among pearls
the bhramans formed the learned class they occupied the highest place in society they were the ones who studied sanskrit
