If the tigers population is small then it may go to extinct level. Because of this we would not able to preserve its DNA.
these tigers carry the genes which have made them adapt to a particular environment from the long process of evolution, if this becomes extinct then the genes responsible for survival would also become extinct. Also it would not be able to contribute in the survival of future generations.
