  • ❣️Here is the answer❣️

1. how is the representative democracy significant in the contemporary world ?

ans: In countries we call democracy, all the people do not rule. A majority is allowed to take decisions on behalf of all people. Even the majority does not rule directly. The majority rule through their elected representatives. This has become necessary because:

Modern democracies involve such large number of people that it is physically impossible for them to sit together and take a collective decision.

Even if they could, the citizens does not have time, the desire or the skills to take part in all the decisions. That is why, representative democracy is significant in the contemporary world.

2. explain the contribution of Lenin to the Russian revolution ?

ans: Lenin was the leader of the radical socialist Bolshevik Party (later renamed the Communist Party), which seized power in the October phase of the Russian Revolution of 1917. After the revolution, Lenin headed the new Soviet government that formed in Russia. He became the leader of the USSR upon its founding in 1922.

3. distinguish between Western ghats and eastern ghats ?

ans: The eastern ghats run parallel to the eastern coastal plains of India. Unlike the western ghats, they are discontinuous in nature and is dissected by the rivers that drain into the Bay of Bengal. As discussed above, most of these rivers have their origin in the western ghats.

Thank you ❣️❣️❣️
