◇Relate the things that you want to remember with something that you know very well.

◇After 72 hours (the period of short term memory), go back and see what has gone from short term memory to long term memory.

◇Essentially test yourself to see that you have all the pieces correct and present in your mind, and that you can recall them.

◇Relearn anything you have not transferred to long term memory.

◇When you have done this (it might take a couple of 72 hour periods), revisit your material on a regular basis.

◇Most knowledge needs revisiting a few times in the first six months, and then at least once a year after that.

◇Think of it as wearing a path of recall to your material.
