Helen felt her childhood fantasies
fulfilled when she went to visit the
World Fair in the year 1883. She
visited the Midway Plaisance
which seemed like the stories of
Arabian Nights to her. It was full of
novelties and interest. She visited
the India she had read about
represented by bazaar, idols of
Shiva and the elephant gods. The
pyramids mosques and
processions of camels represented
Cairo. The lagoons of Venice,
Viking ships, The Cape of Good
hope with its diamond mines were
some of the other things that
caught Helen’s fancy. Electrical
buildings, the anthropological
departments, ancient Mexico and
the Mummies of Egypt were
encountered by Helen at the fair.
She had the permission to feel the
exhibits at the fair. This made her
experience even better. This is
how Helen enjoyed her time at the
World Fair. Hope this helps... : )

here is your answer ...☺
To Helenv, the midway palisade seemed like the " Arabian nights " because it was full of novelty and intrest . she discovered the India of her books in the curious bazaar with its shivas and elephant gods . there was a model showing the land of the pyramids . there was the lagoons of venice where Helen and her teacher spend every evening when the city and the fountains were illuminated .
Helen also went on board a viking ship . she wanted to know how the seaman was once in all and how he sailed and braved the stroms .
At a little distance from the viking ship there was a model of santa maria - a ship sailed by columbus , that had come to America . The captain showed her columbus that had come to america . the captain showed her columbus's cabin and the desk with an hour glass on it .
All this was some how similar to the stories listen by Helen about Arabian Nights . so , this made Helen to feel so ...
