Answer:

In spherical mirror the distance of the object from its Pole is called the object distance u . The distance of the image from the pole of a mirror is called the image distance v . The distance of the principal focus from the pole is called focal length f . The relation between quantities u ,v and F is for mirror formula.

It expressed as : 1/v+1/u =1/f

where u , v and f are to be used according to their new Cartesian sign convention .

This formula is a valid in all situation for all spherical mirror and for all position of the object .
