what is the difference between dominance and codominance .​

for example if their are two traits of a character assuming R ,r

R correspond to Red which is dominant over r which represents white

in dominance if their is heterozygous condition ie.

Rr gives red coloured which is dominant over white where as in

in co dominance both COLOUS WILL BE PRESENT IN PATCHES eg cow with splashes of black over white if their is heterozygous condition

Note

there is another condition known as incomplete dominance which gives intermediate colour in heterozygous condition

eg. Rr should give Red in mendel condition but...

in incomplete dominance it will give pink which is intermediate between red and white and in co dominance it will give patches of red and white
