Step-by-step explanation:

Given 3rd term = 25

= a+ 2d = 25 ......1

Given 10th term = -3

= a+ 9d = -3.....2

solving 1 and 2

a + 2d = 25

a + 9d = -3

___________

-7d = 28

d = -28/7 = -4

therefore, common difference (d) = -4

a + 2d = 25

a + 2(-4) = 25

a = 25+8 = 33

therefore first term (a) = 33

Step-by-step explanation:

\huge \boxed{\underbrace{\mathfrak {\underline  {\fcolorbox {black}{pink}{Answer}}}}}

3rd term of AP=25

\implies { a+2d=25...........(1)    }

10th term of AP=-3

\implies {a+9d=-3.............(2)     }

solving equation1 and equation2,we got

\implies {   d=-4  }

then..put the value {   d=-4  }in equation1

\implies { a+2d=25    }

\implies {   a+2(-4)=25  }

\implies {  a=25+8   }

\implies {   a=33  }

we get that..

\boxed {  d=-4 \:And \:a=33    }
