Hii!!!

three resistances of 2ohm,3ohm and 6 ohm are connected in i) series ii) parallel.Calculate the ratio of effective resistance of series and parallel combination of resistance.

Ans is 11:1.

I want step by step solution.

(i) resistance in series

\begin{lgathered}r_{s} = r_{1} + r_{2} + r_{3}....... \\ r_{s} = 2 \: ohm \: + 3 \: ohm \: + \: 6 \: ohm \\ r_{s} = 11 \: ohm\end{lgathered}

r s =r 1 +r 2+r 3 .......

r s =2ohm+3ohm+6ohm

r s =11ohm

ratio of resistance in series and parallel:

Rs : Rp :: 11 ohm : 1 ohm
