diameter of the front wheel = 80cm

so the radius is 40cm

distance covered by front wheel in 1400 revolution = 1400 × circumference of the front wheel

= 1400 × 2πr

= 1400 × 2 × 22/7 × 40

=200 × 2 × 22 × 40

=400 × 880

=352000cm.

now we need to find out the number of revolution the rear wheel makes to cover 352000 cm.

so the diameter is 2m = 200m

therefore the radius is 100cm.

let it makes x revolutions to cover 352000cm.

therefore,

x × 2πr = 352000

x ×2 × 22/7 × 100 = 352000

x × 44 × 100 = 352000 × 7

x = \frac{352000 \times 7}{44 \times 100} \\ x = 80 \times 7 \\ x = 560

so the rear wheel revolve 560 times to cover the distance covered by the front wheel in 1400 revolutions.
