1. people who are part of the workforce are called human resources. Any other resource becomes useful only by the effort and skill of the human resources. Thus, human resources are a significant part of economy of a country.
2. Investment in human capital for example education training and Healthcare auraton like investment in other resources.
3. Educated parents invest in their children's education and health to secure a better future for him.
4. uneducated parents are unable to invest on education and health care of their children
5. activities which add value to the national income are called economic activities are market activities they are classified into three sectors primary Sector, Secondary sector, and tertiary sector.
6. economic activities related to agriculture, poultry farming, fishing, Horticulture and animal husbandry, mining, are called primary sector
7. manufacturing and construction are included in secondary sector
8. economic activity supporting primary and secondary sector are called tertiary sector for example banking
9. on the basis of production grown economic activities are also divided into two types market activities and non market activities
10. the quality of population depends upon its literacy rate
11. the tenth five-year plan has focused on increasing the enrollment in higher education from 6 % to 9%
12. the government Healthcare system consists of Primary Health Centre, Community Health Centre, and district hospitals. further medical colleges are present in major cities where Doctors of all specialist are present.
13. unemployment exist when people who are willing to work cannot find jobs. it leads to the wastage of Manpower and increases economic overload.
14. seasonal and disguised unemployment are commonly found in rural areas
15. in spite of being educated people are also unemployed in urban regions
16. agriculture is still the largest employer in India however the percentage of people working in agriculture has declined in recent years
17. in the secondary sector small scale sector is more labour intensive and hence provides employment to a large number of people
18. in recent years the IT sector has produced more opportunities for the technically qualified people

4. Improvement in health is an essential element of human resource development and of better quality of life. It involves not only the physical fitness of the individual but also his mental, economic and social well being. Health covers a wide range of activities including family welfare, population control, drug control, immunization and prevention of food adulteration. Only a healthy person can do fill justice to his job.Thus it plays a vital role in individual's working life. The health of a person helps him/her to realize his/her potential and the ability to fight against illness. A healthy person can only contribute to the production and thus contribute to the development of the country while an unhealthy person will be a liability.
