i >> The Carbon element forms compounds mainly by covalent bond because carbon contains 6 electrons and to complete it's octat it needs 4 more electrons. Carbon neither has that much capacity to hold 4 more electrons in its outermost shell nor it has that much energy to lose 4 electrons to become stable.So, it prefers to share electrons to become stable by make \textbf{covalent} bond.

ii >> Diamond has high melting point because it forms covalent bond and also due to its  \textbf{compact structure}

iii >> Graphite is a good conductor of electricity because it contains \textbf{free electrons} . In graphite each carbon atoms is linked to three more carbon atoms and one free electron is left.

iv >> Acetylene contains \textbf{high percentage} of carbon, due to which it burns with sooty or smoky flame.

v >> Kerosene oil is mixture of saturated hydrocarbons therefore does not decolourise bromine water.
