As the poet lies on his bed listening to the music of rain drops on the roof , old recollections comes to his mind . He remembers his mother, her font look as she used to bid him good night . You cherish the memories of those whom you love

The poet misses his mother loving care and affectionate nature . The way tucks up her children comfortably in bed shows her caring nature , and looking fontly at them before leaving shows that she was very loving and affectionate .

Every sound of light falling shower has an echo in the heart of poet . His mind gets preoccupied with a large number of vague or imaginary thoughts

It makes the reader feel that the poet misses his mother , and her loving , affectionate and caring nature , comes to his mind through the memories of the past
