Hiiiiiiii.......guys try this question......... which is heavier,100 pounds of rocks or 100 pounds of feathers........????
I know the answer if u say correct I will mark u as a brainlist......

aatish44: feathers
chethandibbadap96ol0: It depends on what you are using to weigh them! If you are using your hands to compare their weights then 100 pounds of bricks would seem heavier. 100 pounds of bricks occupy very less area compared to feathers.
adv3: a pound is a pound weather it is feathers or rocks
adv3: simple as it i
adv3: *is

Hi.

It depends upon the composition and the matter. But although by the Indirect methods of the Physics we can solve that and hence say that both weighs the same.

Both will have the same mass. 100 Pounds of the Feathers will weighs the same as the 100 pound of the Rocks.

We know the Formula,
Weight = Mass × Acceleration due to gravity.

In this formula, Acceleration due to gravity will remains the same.

In First Case,(Rocks)
Mass = 100 Pounds.
Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s².

Weight = 100 × 10
= 1000 unit.

In Second Case (Feathers)
Mass = 100 Pounds.
Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

Weight = 100 × 10
= 1000 unit.

Thus, Weight of both of them( i.e. Rocks and Feathers) is same.

Hope it helps.

Hey mate here's your answer

It depends on what you are using to weigh them! If you are using your hands to compare there weights then 100 pounds of bricks would.

Both are equal

100 pound is 100 pound. Independent of matter. Of course, quantity of feather more than that of other. But here, we're talking about weight ;which is pound in both cases.

Putting it via physical equation :

Weight (w) =Mass (m) ×gravitational acceleration (g)

Here ' g' is constant and w is fixed(100) pound in your case. Only thing that change with matter is "mass" which is more of feather.

So both are equal. "Pound of feather"as well as" Pound of Rocks".

Hope it helps☺️
