India is firstly dominant in primary sector. it's hugely depends upon agriculture
for that Himalayas, keep country warm by obstructing the northern winds which helps Indian agriculture to cultivate many types of varieties
Himalayas ate responsible for causing rainfall in the plains during summer and ultimately have a monsoon type of climate in country
IN absence of Himalayas, the region of India would have remained dry and would have been become a tropical desert
