b. These lofty peaks also form a natural boundary wall between Nepal and Tibet/China in the north and between India and Nepal in the east
c. Most of the glaciers feeding the Indian rivers are located in the Himalayas. Himalayas are the source of many perennial rivers and their tributaries.
d. Being in rich in bio diversity, the Himalayas is home to thousands of plants and animals species
e. For instance, Tropical rainforest - They are mainly found in the eastern slopes of Himalayas. They are dense forest and grow close to each other. Evergreen trees like oaks, chestnuts are found in high altitude region of Himalayas.  
f. ​Tropical deciduous are the monsoon forests found in the large part of India and in the lower slopes  or foothills of Himalayas. . Trees shed their leaves in the dry season to conserve water, Important trees found are sal, teak, neem and shisham.
g Temperate forests having coniferous trees like pine, deodar, silver fir, spruce and cedar,​ are found in the Southern slopes of Himalayas.
h. Further Himalyas, are also a major attraction for the tourist and one of the popular tourist destinations, contributing in enhancing the income of the country.
