Himalaya acts as a barrier to the cold breeze blowing towards India and also provides abundance of mineral resource and the melting of the glaciers in the ranges from GANGOTRI and YAMUNOTRI give out rivers like Ganga and Yamuna the allow India's agriculture and is the main source of water for India.
