Step-by-step explanation:

Q1)

buying price = 120kg × 22 per kg = 2640 rs

selling price for 30% sugar = 30% × 120kg × 13 per kg = 36× 13 = 468 rs

selling price for remaining sugar (100%-30%=70%) = 70% × 120kg × 25 per kg = 84 × 25 = 2100 rs

total selling price = 468 rs + 2100 rs = 2568 rs

buying price > selling price

=> loss = buying price - selling price = 2640 - 2568 = rs 72

=> loss percentage = 72×100/2640 = 2.72%

Q2)

buying price = 30 per 10

selling price = 46.80 per dozen = 46.80 × 10 / 12 per 10 = 39 per 10

buying price < selling price

=> gain = selling price - buying price = 39 - 30 = rs 9 per 10

=> gain percentage = 9×100/30 = 30 %
