To Find :-

The number of pumpkins .

Step-by-step Explanation

Assuming: the number of pumpkins = p.

p + ⅔ + ¼ = 312.

Here,

⅔ = Fraction of carrots.

¼ = Fraction of tomatoes.

p = Number of pumpkins.

⟹ p + 2/3 + 1/4 = 312

⟹ p + 11/12 = 312

⟹ p = 312 - 11/12

⟹ p = 3733/12

Hence, The required number is 3733/12 .

Now, Let's verify!!!

•: p + 2/3 + 1/4 = 312

⟹ p + 2/3 + 1/4 = 312

⟹ 3733/12 + 2/3 + 1/4 = 312

⟹ 3733/12 + 11/12 = 312

⟹ 3733 + 11/12 = 312

⟹ 312 = 312

LHS = RHS
