In Himachal the weather will be chilly.By October, nights and mornings are very cold. Snowfall at elevations of about 3000mtrs is about 3mtrs and lasts from December to March. Above 4500mtrs, lies the permanently frozen zone.
And as you are travelling with your children maybe they will liketo play in Snow.
Himachal willbe very cold at that time.... In late December you'll get snow at Manali and may be at Dharamshala (although it's low) also.....If you are interested in that kind of holiday, then it'll be good... Else Kerala
