- Mice are caught by cats.
- The object of the active voice becomes the subject in passive.
- The subject of the active voice becomes the object in passive proceeded by -- "by".
- The main verb in the active voice is changed into 3rd form of the verb.
- The 3rd form must be preceded by verb-be. The tense of the verb be is determined by the tense of the active voice.
