<i> "His smile has no frankness."

Frankness is the antonym for guile.

Or, you may right simply as

" His smile is not without guile."

A negative sentence of a given form is a sentence that shows that the given is false.

We usually add 'not' after the words but sometimes the negatives in the given form is directly neglected.

If we add 'not' , the sentence would be,

▪ His smile is not without guile.

If we neglect the negatives in the given form, we get,

▪ His smile is guile.

The negation can also be given in different forms, such as,

▪ 'It is false that' his smile is guile.

▪ 'It is not the case that' his smile is without guile
