Answer:

Murshidabad was a town and district of British India, in the Bengal Presidency. In the Mughal period it was the capital of Bengal, the town of Murshidabad is on the left bank of the Bhāgirathi-Hooghly or main sacred channel of the Ganges. The city of Murshidabad was the last capital of Bengal before the British era. In 1704 the nawab Murshid Quli Khan changed the seat of government from Dhaka to Maksudabad, which he renamed after his own name.Reaching Murshidabad

I took "Hazarduari Express" from Kolkata station (Chitpur) at 6:50 AM. Chair car but a really good journey with lots of greens on either side. It reached Berhampur court station at 11AM.We stayed at the above mentioned hotel run by the Government of West Bengal tourism department. Good rooms but with low maintenance, but hospitality was good. After lunch and a short rest we took an auto rickshaw @ Rs 150/- and went to visit Cossimbazar Choto Rajbari. Entry fee is Rs 25/- per head. We received a good hospitality from the family members. Old furnitures, paintings, Palki, mementos all are maintained very well. we also did sightseeing and visited many beautiful places there

hope it helps ☺

A paragraph on the topic of - Historical trip to Murshidabad is given below.

Historical trip to Murshidabad

Last Sunday our whole class went on a historical trip to Murshidabad. The city of Murshidabad is situated in Bengal. The trip was amazing. I have learned a lot from the trip.

Murshidabad is historically called Makhsudabad. Emperor Akbar founded it in the 16th century. The city of Murshidabad has great importance to the history of India. It was India's capital before the advent of the Britishers. The Battle of Plassey was the first battle of the Britishers in India. It was fought in Murshidabad. The battle took place in 1757 when the Britishers defeated Siraj-ud-Daula. After this battle, the Britishers started conquering different provinces of India.

There are around 12 historical places in Murshidabad that are great tourist attractions. The city is famous for brass and bell metalware for the Bengali Muslims somewhat traditional and silk weaves. We ate delicious Bengali sweets which it is famous for.

It was a very good experience. From now I will continue going on historical trips to explore more such places.
