The Alai Darwaza is the main gate from the southern side of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque in the Qutub Minar complex. The Alai Darwaza has been named after Ala-ud-din Khilji. Alai Darwaza was one of the four gateways that were to be constructed. However, only the Alai Darwaza was cnstructed as Alai-ud-din Khilji passed away.
