Q-1:Two features of humanist thought were: To encourage dignity of humans beings. Freedom of human life from control of religion.

Q-2:With printing matter being varied and affordable, people who could not previously do so now had a real motive to read and so literacy rates increased. Further, printed books were themselves a catalyst for literacy as works were produced that could be used to teach people how to read and write.

Q-3:England was the first country to experience industrialization. Because it had been a politically stable country. There was abundance of natural resources like iron and coal in England.

Q-4:Transporting coal through canals was cheaper and faster than doing it by road. Railways provided faster, cheaper and more reliable means of transport; for both goods and people.

Q-5:The Industrial Revolution brought rapid urbanization or the movement of people to cities. Changes in farming, soaring population growth, and an ever-increasing demand for workers led masses of people to migrate from farms to cities.

Q-6:The Copernican Revolution was the paradigm shift from the Ptolemaic model of the heavens, which described the cosmos as having Earth stationary at the center of the universe, to the heliocentric model with the Sun at the center of the Solar System. In 1593 the Copernician Revolution began.
