  • On behalf of our school I was nominated to visit the Historical place of Redfort at Delhi.
  • I have gone Delhi by train from our place and it took 16 hours to travel.
  • The red fort was built during Mughal emperors Era in 1638.
  • This is a very old construction and constructed with red stone.
  • Every year on August 15th our Prime Minister will hoist flag from here and convey his Independence day message. On that the red fort will be decorated very fantastically with flowers.
  • I have spent one full day at red fort and collected all the information pertaining to red fort.
  • I have taken many photographs at this place.

Krishna Nagar, 30th March 20XX: The History Society of our school organised a visit to the Bhojpur temple from 24th March to 26th March, 20XX. The Bhojpur Temple is in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. Our two History teachers accompanied us on the train journey to Bhopal on the evening of 24th March. We reached there the next morning.

We first reached a hotel in Bhopal to get freshen up. We had breakfast in the hotel. Then we took a bus to the historical temple town, Bhojpur, which is a small town surrounded by beautiful hills. The river Betwa flows nearby and adds to the beauty of the scene. The temple of Lord Shiva stands on a small hill near the river. The temple was built by Raja Bhoj. The structure is built with finely cut rocks kept one over the other.

It was really amazing to look at such a fine example of ancient Indian architecture and sculpture. There is a huge Shivahnga built on a large platform in the temple. It is one of the largest Shivahngas in the world. The monument has rightly been adopted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

We returned to our hotel after enjoying a packed lunch in the garden near the temple. We caught the train back to our home at night. It was a memorable visit.
