1923: Automatic Machine Products Co. starts in a carriage house on North Main Street. Its first products were radio components.
1928: A fire forces the company to move to Mechanic Street
1940: Automatic moves to a much larger facility on Wall Street
1941-1945: Automatic makes munitions for World War II employing 300 people. The company is commended by the military for its excellent products.
