HIV does not survive long outside the body and therefore can only be transmitted when any of the applicable body fluids from an infected individual enters an uninfected individual.

HIV or any other viruses are non living when outside of the host body, so it is wrong to say that HIV does not survive outside the host body as it is a non living thing so if it is not alive how will it die.
